That warm, fuzzy feeling (probably) isn’t indigestion. It’s hope. And proof that we are ALL in this together. In fact, if you carry that warm glow away from your phone and computer screen and out into the world, it’s possible that you could spread some of this hope by helping out a fellow living creature.
You may be wondering how YOU can help. It’s easy. The little worm struggling in the sun on the sidewalk may need a lift over to the grass. The tired bumble bees might take refuge in flowers you plant or cool themselves off in a dish of water you put outside for them. Instead of killing the bug that wandered into your space, you could find a way to set it free.
Think beyond tiny creatures. You can volunteer at an animal shelter or simply opt for pesticide-free gardening. You could look for ways to help the humans you encounter. The day is ripe with opportunities to do good and show kindness. It can be as simple as offering a smile or opening a door to let someone in.
If we’re all in this together, there’s something YOU can do to show kindness. It may not seem heroic, but it might be to the recipient of your generosity. You never know what good you can do until you go out there and try.
