(GivenUs.com) – From the time we’re in elementary school, people ask us what we want to do with our lives. Society may seem to give us strange looks if we’re 40 and still single, or if we decide to change careers late in life.
But so what? Who says there’s a deadline for following your heart or achieving your dreams?

It might be easy when you’re striking out on your own for the first time to think that one failure is the end of the world. You might be tempted to believe that if you haven’t had a huge career success by 35, it will never come.
But I’m here to tell you that any age is the right time to chase your goals (or change your mind). Why let other people’s successes or societal expectations dictate your life when you can live on your own timetable?
Life isn’t about who can sprint the fastest to the finish line. You create destiny — and after realizing that, you can start focusing on what you want with fewer worries on the mind.
